The Tartan Tourist's

Great news from the dynamic duo Mick O'Shea & Cathal Fowler this morning.
I nearly droped the phone when they told me that they had just flew their PPG's to the Mull of Kintyre today for a sandwich and a cup of tea, after refueling they returned to their original departure gate on the emerald Isle all before 1.30 today. What can I say only

Very Well done Lads..... :D
The love of flight is the bond.

This is what I aspire to do!
Huge congratulations and I have just opened the wine on your behalf. Also just to sound poetic, the song goes

"My desire is always to be here
Oh mull of kintyre
Far have I traveled and much have I seen
Dark distant mountains with valleys of green".

You certainly followed that verse!

Cheers .

Well Done Lads . . . That is a fantastic achievement and you did the PPG community proud. This is why we do it . . Risk and Reward. You both deserve a hats off and standing ovation .. It's a first and I'll be able to boast that I know those fellahs that first crossed the Irish sea in a Paramotor. Good on ye . . . .

Hi Cathal & Mike,

Stunning stuff - well done. An amazing first. I know that some of the Brits were looking at this flight but you wiped their eye!

Cheers,

Just back in the last hour from another exhausting overseas work trek!

Congratulations to you both. Absulutely fantastic to see it done, to see it done first by two Paddy's, and to have it completed it without incident.

Wish I had been along, but someone had to be first and good for you both for doing it. I know it involved a lot more than a few days thinking about this trip, to get the rare break in the weather that allowed this successfull expedition. I know very well that it also took a lot of Balls to do it too, and no shortage of that in this team!

Look forward to seeing the movie and hearing all the details!

Unbelievable, ground-breaking stuff….and who knows, in a few years the making of sandwiches by Irish blokes may even become a commonplace thing, and not something requiring overseas flights to other countries to publicise…. ..... well done lads, a very fine achievement!!!!

Sorry to all who were planning this trip, its still worth going for just for the experience!!! Mike O' Shea
