There was a story going around that they were in trouble with the CAA, for flying an illegal machine on a public beach during testing? What ever happened to them? They made the trip in any case?

I remember hearing something similar to what you have written Oisin. There was a somewhat downbeat story in Sky wing but the whole thing seems to have become very low profile.

As far as I know that case hasnt been dropped, these things usually take time, apparently it took place on a beach in Wales and the CAA used google earth to compare it to the video's.....they did make it to Timbuktoo eventually, they had a rough trip on the way facing all sorts of mayhem- should make good viewing... they had a big off road truck, a few scrambler bikes and a paramotor in the pack..
