Malcolm White

Hi all, a brief intro. Spent more years that I can remember flying hot air balloons and now run a full-time commercial ballooning company based in Trim, Co. Meath (www.balloons.ie). Got my PPL(B) in 1985 and CPL(B) in 1989.

Despite all this, Pauline and I just spent an enjoyable few days across with Paul Mahony in Lagos checking out the PPG experience and we vow to return early next year. Had a flight in their Pegasus while we were there and that was great fun also.

Malcolm.

Hi Malcolm,

You are very welcome - and great to read that you had a good time with Paul Mahony in Portugal.

I'm not sure that many people realise that your Pauline is the wonderful Pauline Baker who currently holds 9 FAI World Records for ballooning with more planned over the coming years. Pauline is Ireland's most accomplished aviator in all disciplines. No other Irish pilot has held a World Record for manned flight and Pauline has handfuls of them!

Let's hope that Pauline doesn't get too serious about PPG or the rest of the guys can expect to move over to make room for her at the top of the podium!

Cheers,

Welcome Malcolm.

Look forward one day to flying with hot air balloons. Since seeing Gordons photos, have been dying to get to see them in the air! :D

All the best,

Oisin
