Meeting venue

Well done Dean and others behind the scenes for taking the Initiative. I suggest Youghal as a venue for the meeting. We have a perfectly good 6 acre field here and the owner will be quite happy to allow us to use it. Oisin, Cathal and others have flown from it in the past. It also has the advantage of having a hotel nearby with a variety of meeting rooms if weather is bad. I know the manager and I feel sure we can come to some arrangement to get the room free and get a discount rate for anybody staying the night. I am happy to travel anywhere else in the country if nesessary.

I would also like to propose Dean as chair and Oisin as vice chair of the meeting.

Like you I look foreward to meeting all my fellow propellor heads and gettin down to wot we all really love.

Update

Folks
Just a quick update.
This meeting will NOT take place this weekend, as due to the short notice it doesnt suit a lot of people.
Can everyone send me an email to donegalwing@eircom.net and let me know any date which DOESNT suit you , which will leave the task of choosing a date easier and wont mean me contacting ye individually.
Thanks to all who have replied.

Hi all,

I suggest the location for the meeting should be in Cathal's field for the following reasons

A) A lot of you attended the michael Carnet clinic in this venue.
B) Very good motorway access for all pilots.
C) Plenty of area's to fly without upsetting the neighbours.
D) A neutral venue.
C) Pretty much in the middle of the island.

Also I have spoken to the owner of the Hilamar Hotel in Kinnegad and is happy to give a pilot rate B&B of 40 euro sharing or 60 euro single
Contact the hotel direct ask for Patrice and give her my name.

All the best
