Airspace maps

Some useful resources here for Google Earth to compliment your IAA/CAA airmaps-

Highlight the link, and 'save target as' Change the file extension to '.kml' and it will open in Google Earth.

Irish Airspace- http://www.gordondunn.co.uk/forumdownload/Irish%20Airspace.kml

UK Airspace- http://www.gordondunn.co.uk/forumdownload/UK%20Airspace.kml

The airspace blocks are layered- as they are in reality, not all of them extend right to ground level- Pan and tilt within Google Earth to view them.
The various layers can be turned on an off for clarity.
Please note- these are representations only- you must check the current airmap for your area and make sure it's legal to fly under the conditions of the IAA exemption.

Hi Gordon,

Excellent facility - and the link worked fine for me (in FireFox 3). I didn't have to change the file extension to KML - it came up as KML.

Got it to work. Very useful and handy to have it on Google Earth, the 'field finder'!

Seems a little bit off ( slightly wider diameter circles) in the areas I am more familer with, will need to check my maps again?
